Margaret Murphy is the author of nine highly acclaimed psychological crime novels, published in the UK, USA and in translation across Europe.
Her Liverpool-based series, featuring Chief Inspector Jeff Rickman and Detective Sergeant Foster, evokes the gritty reality of crime in one of Britain’s most vibrant and brutal cities.Her first novel "Goodnight My Angel", was shortlisted for the First Blood Award and "Weaving Shadows" was described by Deadly Pleasures magazine as ‘one of the top 10 British novels of 2003.’ Margaret is founder of Murder Squad writers’ collective and is an active member of the Crime Writers’ Association. She is consultant tutor on the MA in Writing at Liverpool JMU.
