Jeffrey Wainwright
Jeffrey Wainwright was born in Stoke-on-Trent, has taught in the University of Wales, in New York, and currently at the Manchester Metropolitan University. He has translated French drama for the Royal Shakespeare Company and BBC Radio and is a theatre critic for the Independent. Carcanet published his first book of poems, Heart's Desire (1978), and his Selected Poems (1985).
