William Woodruff

William Woodruff is a world historian whose work is concerned with world developments during the past five hundred years. He is author of Impact of Western man, America's impact on the world, The struggle for world power, The emergence of an international economy and A concise history of the modern world. He is also the author of Vessel of sadness, a novel based on his Second World War experiences in the Italian Anzio campaign of 1943-44. His autobiography, The Road to Nab End, a moving account of his childhood in Blackburn, Lancashire, became a best seller.
