Lara Quinn

Lara Quinn was born in Durham but has now lived for many years in the North West of England. She attended Leeds University, graduating with an honours degree in Italian and English. She went on to teach for thirteen years, later becoming a Head teacher. Lara comes from a family of "globe trotters", is widely travelled and her stories reflect her interest in other races and cultures. Her first book, "Mr Paddy's People" was published in 2005. She then won the "Best in the North West", in a short story competition held by Ormskirk Writers and Literacy Society, and in 2007, went on to come third.

Mr Paddy's People by Lara Quinn is the tale of Mr Padsha Khan, his family, and the characters who work for him, the dreamers and the drinks, the dangerous and the deluded.
