Seán Hewitt was born in Warrington and read English at the University of Cambridge. He won the Rima Alamuddin Prize in 2011, and was nominated for the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem in 2012. He is currently Apprentice Poet-in-Residence at Ilkley Literature Festival.
