Through poignant homecomings, cinematic street scenes and candid portraits, John Siddique constantly reminds us of human vulnerability, of the short chains that anchor us in this turbulent world. John Siddique’s first full-length collection of poetry The Prize was published by Rialto in 2005. His work has appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines in the UK and abroad, and he has held many commissions and residencies including Ilkley Literature Festival, Ledbury Poetry Festival, HMYOI Wetherby, Rainer, Commonword and BBC Manchester. He teaches and mentors creative writing for many institutions including The Arvon Foundation.
