The next Poets and Players event presents Mandy Coe, joint winner of the 2008 Manchester Poetry Prize awarded by The Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Mandy Coe’s poetry has won a number of prizes and has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Poetry Please and on BBC 2 (‘Essential Poetry’).

Her new, collection Clay has just been published by Shoestring Press. Her work has been included in publications such as the Radio Times, The Guardian and 101 Poems to Save Your Life (Harper Collins). Her poetry for children is anthologized by Hodder, Wayland, Oxford University Press, Pearson Education and Bloomsbury.

Originated by Linda Chase with musician Chris Davies, Poets and Players is known for its imaginative programming of established poets and musicians who perform alongside newer writers.
