Walk and write in Manchester’s urban heart, taking inspiration from people, places, conversation and unexpected stories, and taking sustenance from urban poets of different traditions. Drawing on remembered and imagined cities, this workshop will offer suggestions for form and structure as well as plenty of scope for surprises. You’ll look at how to ‘get out of the way’ of a poem, and broaden your observation and awareness.
