Time: 10am - 4pm
Price: £53, £41, £35

Some poets find their lyric voice early on; others play with different voices all their writing lives. With Naomi, you’ll examine the
relationship between voice and form, exploring in particular the
traditionally collective voice of the ballad and various poetic techniques essential to the musicality of the intimate lyric voice.
You’ll experiment with dialogue, persona, satire, rhyme and metre, and ask moral questions about adopting the voices of others. And finally, you’ll read your work aloud, and receive helpful tips on improving your performance skills. Part of the Chapter & Verse Festival at the Bluecoat.
