All poets should read as much as they can. This is a special event for poets, poetry lovers and for those new to reading poetry. Mimi will lead the group in reading and discussing selected poems from contemporary and canonical writers, finding out what gives us pleasure or puzzlement, teasing out tangles, investigating ‘meanings’ and also looking at how figurative language and poetic forms add to our understanding and appreciation of modern and classical poetry.
