Merseyside Polonia in cooperation with Yellow House would like to invite you to the last meeting of the Communities Through Film project which will take place on 2nd August at 6.30pm. You will have a chance to watch 75-minute documentary Chicken soup and Scouse which portrays the Jewish community in Liverpool since 1700 until now. We will find out why they came to Liverpool and how they managed to became one of the most influential Jewish communities in England. Michael Swerdlow – the director of the film and Arnold Lewis – director of the local community will add commentary to the film. After that there will be a chance for discussion and to taste traditional kosher food.
