These demanding but exhilarating workshops are aimed primarily at experienced writers. At each full-day session the group will discuss their own poems and write new pieces using other poems as models. The aim will be to cover most areas in contemporary poetry, furthering an understanding of how - and why - poems work, while taking participants' own writing onto another level.

Peter Sansom, former Fellow in Creative Writing, Leeds University and Company Poet at both M&S and Prudential. He's a director of the Poetry Business, co-editor of The North and Smith/Doorstop Books. Books include : The Last Place On Earth, Carcanet, Writing Poems, Bloodaxe.
