of her first collection, "Straight Ahead" (Bloodaxe).
'The energy and vivacity of Clare Shaw's writing...is enough to mark her out as one of the most talented young poets to appear in recent years' - George Szirtes.
Jackie Kay is the acclaimed and much-loved author of "The Adoption Papers" and "Other Lovers,"
and very possibly, Central Library's favourite reader....................
