Countyvise is a Merseyside based publisher of local interest books, though many of the subjects covered by its list are of wider interest. Although the majority of its titles are published under the Countyvise imprint, it also co-publishes with several local institutions and authorities, and for some of these publications use other imprints. These joint imprints include The Liver Press (with the School of Humanities and Social Science, Liverpool John Moores University and the Faculty of Environmental Studies, University of Liverpool), Merseyside Portfolios (with the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside), and Picton Press (with Liverpool City Council Libraries and Arts Department).
